Code of Ethics and Professional Standards for Entertainment Hypnotists
As entertainment hypnotists, we are committed to upholding the highest ethical and professional standards in our practice. We pledge to adhere to the following principles:
Safety First: Ensure the safety and well-being of all participants and audience members at all times during a performance. Take necessary precautions to prevent any physical or psychological harm.
Respect and Dignity: Treat all participants, audience members, and fellow professionals with respect and dignity, regardless of their background, beliefs, or personal circumstances.
Informed Consent: Obtain informed consent from all participants before initiating any hypnotic procedures, clearly explaining the process and addressing any concerns they may have.
Honesty and Integrity: Conduct all professional activities with honesty and integrity, avoiding deceptive practices, false claims, or misrepresentation of qualifications and experience.
Professional Conduct: Abide by all applicable laws, regulations, and venue policies while maintaining a high standard of professionalism and decorum during performances and interactions with clients, participants, and the public.
Non-defamation: Members shall treat hypnotist colleagues without public defamation.
Ethical Marketing: Promote and market services in an ethical manner, ensuring all advertising and promotional materials accurately represent the nature and scope of services provided. Members will not use credentials or titles that are misleading.
Social Responsibility: Use the platform and influence as an entertainment hypnotist responsibly, promoting positive values and contributing to the betterment of society and the profession as a whole.
